Northern Staff and Students Welcome

the Class of 2013!

The lucky Class of 2013 picked up student planners and schedules, met staff and faculty, toured the campus, learned about Northern clubs and sports, networked with upperclassmen, reconnected with old friends and made new ones.

Special thanks to Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Honey-Baked Ham, and Coca-Cola for their generous donations for the students' delicious cookout lunch.

Freshmen enjoy cookout during Orientation 2008

Freshman Orientation  - Thursday, August 20, 7:30am – 12:30pm with cookout

   Students should report to the front lobby at 7:30 am.

   Students may purchase locker padlocks, Northern Student Athletic passes ($30), and Northern Knight shirts at Orientation and Open House.

New-To-Northern Open House - Thursday, August 20, 6:30pm – 8:00pm

First day of school - Tuesday, August 25

Parking Passes -
 All parking passes are $75.00.
 Bring your drivers’ license and know your License plate number.
 You must clear any outstanding debts before you can purchase a pass.

Bus Stop Information -
 Beginning August 14, parents and students can access bus stop information from the DPS homepage (http://www.dpsnc.net)
 Go to >quick links>departments>transportation>bus stops.
 Stop information will also be posted at the Open House on Thursday August 20.
 Bus routes will not be in the newspaper this year.
